BBC fenderwell headers in K20?

We cannot run upright headers in our class.  Has to have exhaust that exits under the truck rearward of the driver's compartment.

Right now my heads are ported pretty big and the closest thing I can find for pipe size to make at the heads is fenderwell headers from:

http://www.fabshopheaders.com/categories/products/pro-stock-4x4-truck-pulling-headers-chevy-downswept.html

I also like fenderwell as the radius' seem more gradual.

Has anyone run them (or others)?  Feedback would be greatly appreciated as they are not cheap (mainly concerned about tire clearance and steering shaft clearance).

I would buy the Stahl kit if you know someone with a mig/tig welder. Fit them to your truck, cut the tubes to length and weld them up.

They are really nice headers but really expensive. I've been looking at maddog headers for mine.

I just sent them a message asking about tire/steering shaft clearance.

I used a set of Hookers 2 in. primaries for my truck. The drivers side is easy, the pass side is a little work, but very doable. I bought a set of Mad Dog headers, I never tried them they hang on the wall.

Any reason for not trying them?  Junk, no room, ???

I did not use them as I am in a "Stock" class. They look great well made. My only gripe was they did a poor job packing them & mine came w a ding in it from being shipped. They offered to exchange, but I just held on to them.

From what I've seen, with a 3" body lift, there are no clearance issues with steering with the Stahl headers.  Friend of mine has the fab shops.  He re-routed the steering shaft to go right to frame from column, then down the frame to box using a couple/few universal joints.
