Traction Bars How to?

Recommended Posts

Id like to tackle the job of making some traction bars for my 2001 ford Crew cab long bed. I dont want to pay 1k+ for something that Im pretty sure I can make. Any threads or plans of how to make them? I can find the heim joints on ebay for reasonable price, and I can get the tubing from a local steel shop, but how long should they be, square or round tubing, how do I mount them properly, etc

If you could be as helpful as just posting some pic's of your current set up that would be great!

I actually thought of that. Maybe thats what Ill do rather than spending big money on chromoly joints and tubing.
